COULD YOU HELP US?
Help us help those leaving the care system
Liverpool based leaving care charity, the Cornerstones Foundation, is looking for additional volunteer trustees. In particular, we want to hear from young adults between the age of 18 and 30 who have experience of the Care System.
Candidates will have lived experience of the care system, as we know they will create real value in helping us plan and achieve our strategy for the next 3 to 5 years. Your unique perspective and vision will help us help those who are care experienced.

WHO WE ARE?
Cornerstones Foundation is a unique Liverpool based charity that exists to make a difference to the lives of our young people who have left the care system. We do this by helping create the future they want and deserve. Like you, we believe in every child and every young adult and their right to dream big and achieve their aspirations.
WHO DO WE HELP?
To provide a range of customised, specialised and intensive interventions to children and young people in care in order to support and maximise their educational attainment, and to support young people to develop a career pathway (with the most appropriate public or private sector organisation) and to enable a successful transition to full-time and permanent employment. Current projects include our annual campaign, together with Liverpool City Council, funding up to 400 boxes of clothing, food and toiletries and also funding care experience students studying at Liverpool John Moores University.

In 2024 we are supporting:
Over 100 care experienced students
400 young adults leaving care
