Taya Hughes

Since moving to London from Zimbabwe, aged 17, Taya’s dream was to work in fashion. She qualified as an accountant and worked at various jobs, but I never lost that passion for design.

She married and moved to Liverpool, studying fashion, art and design in college. From this she started her own womenswear brand of colourful, art-inspired clothes, Tayamika and now owns Seven Streets a boutique in Liverpool’s Smithdown Road.

She has her heart and soul into her businesses and is grateful every day that she didn’t give up.
