Although Gary has been assisting the charity since 2021 he has been Trustee since January 2023. Gary has played a huge part in publicising the importance of the charity’s work.
Between the age of 3 and 11 Gary was frequently placed in care.
The Lord Mayor of Liverpool in 2013, Gary has also been appointed President and Vice President of a number of local, national and international organisations. He is Liverpool’s multi-award winning Entrepreneur-in-Residence and also a key philanthropist – supporting issues including heritage, homelessness, cancer, hearing and visual impairments, alcohol and drug dependencies, neurodiversity and those leaving care.
Gary’s mantra is “pay it forward”.
