In July 2023, our Trustees joined a host of celebrities, civic leaders, business owners and organisations as they gathered at Hilton Liverpool City Centre to celebrate their annual Star Ball. This year’s fundraiser was held in aid of NSPCC Childline and The Cornerstones Foundation.
This fantastic event raised £40,000, to be shared equally between both charities. Plus, our Trustee Gary Millar donated an additional £50,000 in his and his brother’s name (Leslie) to help young adults attend Liverpool John Moores University. This is part of our campaign to help pay towards the tuition fees and costs for those leaving care, or those who are care experienced.
We also used this opportunity to launch our Christmas Hamper campaign asking for support to help fund Christmas Gift Boxes for young adults leaving care who otherwise would wake up on Christmas Day with no presents, or money or loved ones.
